I've noticed Cata mentioned several new Tales games in the top RPGs thread. Can you list the currently released and upcoming Tales games starting from Tales of Phantasia on the SNES? I like them, and I'm interested on playing another one, preferrably (but not necessarily) 2D.

    Released:
    Tales of Phantasia (SNES, PSX)
    Tales of Destiny (PSX)
Tales of Eternia (PSX) - Note: localised in US as Tales of Destiny II
    Tales of Symphonia (GC, PS2)

Tales of World: Narikiri Dungeon (GBA)
Tales of World: NArikiri Dungeon II (GBA)
Tales of World: Narikiri Dungeon III (GBA)
Tales of World: Summoner's Lineage (GBA)
Tales of Phantasia (GBA) - Note: Remake.

    Upcoming
Tales of Destiny II (PS2) - Note: Oh noez! Problem!
    Tales of Rebirth (PS2)
    Tales of the Abyss (PS2)
    Tales of Legendia (PS2)
Tales of Melfes (PSP) - Note: Connected to Legendia project
Tales of Eternia (PSP) - Note: Remake
Tales of Eternia Online (PC) - Note: MMORPG

Of all the upcoming titles, only Rebirth will be using 2D sprites. The rest will use cel-shaded models, but most on pre-rendered backgrounds. Tales of the Abyss was announced only last week; screenshots are available right here.

Personally, im pleased their making a load of titles. As proven by the likes of Disgaea and Atelier Iris, not every RPG needs to be big-budget 3 year+ project to be fun and successful (although inevitably it helps). The reason the Playstation and SNES eras worked so well for RPG's was because they didnt have to focus so much on graphics, and could work harder on all the other elements of their games, and ultimately make them quicker and more cheaply. Namco seem to appreciate that we've taken the quality>quantity rule too far in this console generation, as implied by the RPG droughts we've been having, and that we need to take a step back before we can take two steps forward.
